Emergency Treatment Offered

  • Traumatic Dental Injuries: We evaluate and treat teeth that have been fractured, cracked, displaced, or otherwise injured due to an accident or trauma. Prompt treatment can improve the likelihood of saving the affected tooth and preventing further damage.
  • Pulpotomy: A pulpotomy removes the damaged or infected portion of the dental pulp while preserving healthy tissue whenever appropriate. This treatment can relieve pain and help stabilize the tooth.
  • Pulpectomy: A pulpectomy removes all infected or inflamed pulp tissue from inside the tooth to eliminate pain and infection. It is often performed as emergency treatment to relieve symptoms and preserve the tooth.
  • Dental Abscess Treatment: A dental abscess is a serious infection that requires prompt care. We diagnose the source of the infection, relieve pressure and discomfort, and provide treatment to eliminate the infection while working to preserve your natural tooth.

Frequently Asked Questions About Emergency Treatment

What qualifies as an endodontic emergency?

Severe tooth pain, swelling, a dental abscess, a cracked or fractured tooth, dental trauma, or persistent pain following an injury may all require emergency endodontic care. If you are unsure, contact our office so we can help determine the urgency of your situation.

Can you see emergency patients the same day?

Whenever possible, we reserve time in our schedule for patients experiencing dental emergencies. We make every effort to provide same-day or next-day appointments for those in pain.

What should I do if I knock out or injure a tooth?

Contact our office immediately. Quick treatment greatly improves the chances of saving an injured tooth, especially following dental trauma.

How do I know if I have a dental abscess?

Common signs include severe tooth pain, swelling of the gums or face, a pimple-like bump on the gums, drainage, or sensitivity when biting. An abscess should be evaluated as soon as possible to prevent the infection from spreading.

Will emergency treatment relieve my pain?

Yes. The primary goal of emergency endodontic treatment is to identify the source of your pain and provide the appropriate treatment to relieve discomfort while protecting your oral health.

Should I go to the emergency room for tooth pain?

If you have severe facial swelling, difficulty breathing or swallowing, or signs of a serious infection, seek emergency medical care immediately. For most tooth-related emergencies, an endodontist is the best provider to diagnose and treat the underlying cause.

Archway staff were friendly, helpful and professional. I was able to get in to see Dr. Judd quickly. He did a great job with my root canal. They did a good job of making me as comfortable as possible and I had very little pain afterwards. Also they were able to quote an accurate price before the procedure.

I just have to say, it was boring! Can you imagine a root canal procedure being boring!? Seriously, the staff (Amy and Sophia and one name I missed), and Dr Judd, were all fantastic. Compassionate, personalized care nails it. Dr Judd was wonderful and very skilled. They all gave me so much confidence, before, during and after the treatment. Ted Drewes as a send-off didn’t hurt any either!

Dr. Brian Judd and his staff are amazing! I went in not knowing exactly what would be done and Sophie from his staff walked me through the entire sequence for my Root Canal! I appreciated the care they took of me while in the chair! Endodontics Brian Judd and Sophie put me at ease and could not have been nicer while performing the root canal! They were so thorough, I even got my pick of vanilla, chocolate or strawberry from Ted Drewes when I was all done! They get 10 stars from me! Thank You Dr. Judd and Sophie and staff!

If you need a root canal, this is the place to go. Everyone that you meet is helpful and take the time to explain the entire process. Dr. Judd did a great job, no pain, explained what he was doing thru the whole procedure. I’ve had other root canals but this was the best experience by far. I hope I never need another root canal but if I do this is the team I choose.

I had an incredible experience. The staff was all very kind. They showed the perfect balance of care for me as an individual and excellence + efficiency in their work. Dr. Judd communicated very clearly and constantly about every step of the procedure. At the end, they sent me home with some Ted Drews, which just confirmed what I had already begun to assume; this office clearly cares as much for your soul and happiness as they do for the health of your teeth. I would recommend them to anyone.
