Meet Dr. Brian Judd
Dr. Brian Judd, DDS, MS, is a board-eligible endodontist dedicated to helping patients throughout the St Louis area to preserve their natural teeth through advanced root canal therapy, endodontic microsurgery, and the treatment of complex endodontic conditions. Combining advanced clinical training with years of experience as a practicing general dentist, Dr. Judd provides compassionate, evidence-based care focused on achieving the best possible outcomes while making every patient feel comfortable and informed throughout their treatment.
Unlike many specialists who enter residency immediately after dental school, Dr. Judd spent five successful years practicing as a general dentist. That experience gave him a unique understanding of comprehensive dental care and the challenges both patients and referring dentists face when managing complex cases. While he enjoyed all aspects of general dentistry, he discovered that his greatest passion was saving natural teeth and treating patients experiencing dental pain.
Driven by a desire to become the very best in one area of dentistry, Dr. Judd chose to specialize in endodontics. By focusing exclusively on root canal treatment and related procedures, he is able to provide a higher level of expertise and precision while serving as a trusted resource for both patients and the general dentists who refer their patients to his care. His goal is simple: deliver exceptional specialty care that creates lasting value for every patient and every referring partner.
Dr. Judd earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine before completing a Master of Science degree and specialty residency in Endodontics at Saint Louis University. During his residency, he served as chief resident, and received advanced training in diagnosing and treating complex endodontic conditions, performed hundreds of surgical and nonsurgical root canal procedures, utilizing the latest techniques to improve treatment accuracy and long-term success. His graduate research focused on emerging technology and innovations designed to enhance patient outcomes.
Today, Dr. Judd’s practice is dedicated exclusively to endodontic care, including:

As a participant in the Spear Study Club and other local interdisciplinary study clubs, Dr. Judd collaborates with fellow dental professionals to share knowledge, discuss complex cases, and continually refine clinical skills. This dedication to lifelong learning ensures that patients receive thoughtful, evidence-based treatment using the most current approaches in modern endodontics.
Having practiced general dentistry himself, Dr. Judd understands the importance of collaboration and communication with referring doctors. He appreciates the trust his colleagues place in him and is committed to providing timely treatment, clear communication, and comprehensive reports that support continuity of care. His firsthand experience allows him to approach every referral with an understanding of both the patient’s needs and the referring dentist’s treatment goals.
Dr. Judd also understands that many patients arrive feeling anxious about root canal treatment. He believes one of the most important parts of his job is helping patients feel comfortable by listening carefully, explaining every step of the procedure, and creating a calm, reassuring environment. His goal is not only to relieve pain and save teeth, but also to change the way patients think about endodontic treatment through a positive experience.
Outside the office, Dr. Judd enjoys spending time with his wife, Jamie, and their five children. Their family loves hiking, pickleball, and exploring the outdoors together. He is actively involved in his church’s youth program and values giving back to his community. Having lived in Mexico, France, Spain, and Switzerland, Dr. Judd has developed a deep appreciation for different cultures and is fluent in French.
